Before birth 

❧ 2 to 3 prenatal visits to get to know you better, talk about your birth plans, answer any questions and prepare for the big day!
❧ Email/phone consultations: I am always available for questions, concerns or just a quick chat about how you are doing.

 

Avant l'accouchement

❧ 2  à 3 visites prénatales pour mieux vous connaître, parler de votre plan de naissance, répondre à vos questions et préparer le grand jour !
❧  Consultations par téléphone et/ou courriel: je suis toujours disponibles pour des questions, parler de vos inquiétudes ou juste pour une petite conversation sur comment vous allez.

 

Going into labour and birth 

❧ When you feel you are going into labour, you can call me anytime. I can meet you at your home or at the hospital. I provide support for both homebirths and hospital births. 

❧ I will stay with you during the entire course of your labour and provide physical and emotional support through massage, position changes and other comfort measures. My role is to help you keep your rythm and adapt to the changes of labour in a supported and comfortable manner and make informed choices. 

❧For partners: I provide information, support and will let you know how you can best support the labouring woman and how to best interface with the caregivers.

❧ When things take an unexpected turn: I will help you make informed decisions and stay calm and focused. 

❧ Memory keeper: I can take photograhs and provide you with your birth story.

 

Travail et accouchement

❧ Quand vous sentez le travail commencer, vous pouvez m'appeler à n'importe quel moment. Je peux vous retrouver chez vous ou à l'hôpital. J'offre du soutien pour les accouchements à domicile ainsi que les accouchements hospitaliers.

❧ Je reste avec vous pendant tout l'accouchement et offre un soutien physique et émotionnel à travers le massage, l'utilisation d'un Rebozo, des changements de position et d'autres mesures de confort. Mon rôle est de vous aider à garder votre rythme et à vous adapter aux changements en cours de travail de façon confortable ainsi qu'à prendre des décisions informées. 

❧Pour les partenaires: j'offre de l'information, du soutien et je vous aiderai à soutenir la maman de votre mieux ainsi qu'à bien communiquer avec vos praticiens.

❧ Quand les choses prennent un tour inattendu: je vous aide à prendre des décisions informées et à rester calmes et concentrés.

❧ Gardienne du souvenir: je peux prendre des photos et je vous offre un récit de la naissance.

 

Cesareans and VBACs

I can provide support for women who are planning a cesarean or a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Cesareans come with their own particular challenges and support can be crucial to ensure you have the best possible outcome and birth experience.

J'offre du soutien aux femmes qui prévoient une naissance par césarienne ou un accouchement vaginal après césarienne (AVAC). Les césariennes ont leurs propres défis et le soutien peut être crucial pour avoir le meilleur résultat et la meilleure expérience d'accouchement.

After giving birth 

❧ I will typically stay with you for an hour or two after the birth until you and baby are settled in and comfortable 

❧ I can provide support to initiate breastfeeding 

❧ I will usually do one postpartum visit within the first weeks after birth to check on you and baby and give you your birth notes and photos 

❧ I can provide information on safe baby-wearing, breastfeeding and attachment parenting

❧ I can also provide referrals to post-partum doulas, lactation consultants and other health professionals 

❧ I will remain available by phone or email for questions and chats

Après l'accouchement

❧  Je reste typiquement avec vous une heure ou deux après l'accouchement, jusqu'à ce que maman et bébé soient confortables.

❧ J'offre un soutien pour commencer l'allaitement

❧ Je ferais généralement une visite postpartum dans les premières semaines après l'accouchement pour voir si vous et bébé allez bien et pour vous remettre votre  récit de naissance et vos photos.

❧ Je peux vous informer sur le portage de bébé, l'allaitement et le parentage proximal

❧ Je peux vous fournir des références pour des doulas postpartum, des conseillères en allaitement ou d'autres professionnels de la santé

❧ Je resterai disponible par téléphone ou courriel pour des questions ou juste pour bavarder

Upon request, I can provide placenta encapsulation services to my clients.
